I had swine flu, it was bad, I couldnt breathe, I had a fever and alsorts more, but in the same respect, it wasnt too bad... AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I got anything I wanted! But it was bad..... try not to get it people :)

Yes, it is. That's why it's dubbed the Swine Flu. Pigs, cows, chickens, etc. are all natural hosts of the influenza virus. This H1N1 is also called the Spanish Flu, from its appearance in 1917 and 1918 during the flu pandemic. The Avian flu is called so because it was found to be housed within birds. Some of the animals don't necessarily get sick, but if, say, a farmer had contact with a carrying pig, there begins the outbreak. Thus, you get a 'Swine flue.'
